Jean Havens, born in
1959 in Tahlequah, is currently the French teacher for Tahlequah
High School. Jean graduated from NSU in 1977, where she received a
major in marketing and research, and a minor in the language French.
After graduation, she became a substitute teacher for the high school
and 3 years ago became the current French teacher. Ms. Havens enjoys
teaching yoga, writing, reading mysteries and suspense, and studying
photography. She has two dogs and one cat, Zeek, Wally, and Carson,
who all she adores very much. Her favorite bands include Stevie Ray
Vaughn, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, and basically any blues. Her
favorite movies consist of L.A Confidential and Pow Wow Highway.
Mrs. Havens would like to add that French is a beautiful language
that is spoken all around the world and that life is a bowl of
cherries, but some times you land in the pits.
