Mrs. Shrum is married to James Dean and has two kids. Their son is James Paul Latta & their daughter is Shelly Ann Latta. Both of them have graduated from Tahlequah High School. James Paul has also graduated from NSU and now works for Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company. He and his wife, Amanda, who teaches in Tulsa, have a daughter, Emma. Shelley works at Bancfirst and has a son, River.


Mrs. Shrum has a Bachelor's degree & Master's Degree in Education. One of her favorite things about being a math teacher is seeing that glow on a student's face when they make a discovery. Her favorite hobby is searching for collectibles. She has five pets, one Sharpie and four Siamese cats.
